What to Expect Sunday Mornings

On July 4, 2021, we returned to in-person Sunday School (8:45 a.m.) and Worship (10:00 a.m.) inside our facilities at 8130 Lott Cary Rd, Providence Forge, VA 23140 in Charles City County, VA. Our campus is quite spread out, so for reasons of safety and security, you may find a locked door when you try to enter. Please, if you are on the Lott Cary Rd., or front side of the facility, enter through the glass doors under the Portico and our greeters will meet you there. If you are entering from the Samaria Lane side, or rear of the facility, please enter through the door at the top of the wheelchair ramp. Another option for Worship at 10:00 is to remain in your car in the rear parking lot and listen to the worship service broadcast over the public address system or the FM Radio Station 105.1. The worship service is also streamed live on FaceBook Live at Samaria Baptist and later uploaded to our YouTube Channel at Samaria Baptist Church CCCVA. If you arrive for the 8:45 a.m. Sunday School, a.k.a. Bible Study for Every Age, the Greeters will help you find an appropriate classroom as there are 8 children’s classes (one for each two years of age as of the last Sept. 30th) and 5 adult classes, including a 20 Something Class for young adults. A nursery is available for young children during all services.

Our worship style is probably best characterized as "blended" with contemporary music and traditional hymns and piano/organ, scripture, prayer, testimony, and preaching. Since the pandemic, most of our music remains pre-recorded with congregational sing-along. Attire is mixed with traditional dresses, coats & ties, business casual, and t-shirts & jeans. While we do not expect our guests to support the church financially, you will observe ushers and offering plates at the entrances for anyone wanting to give to church ministries. We will not be going row-to-row collecting an offering as part of the worship service. Electronic giving is available through a PayPal link on the homepage of this website. Holy Communion is celebrated during the worship hour on the first Sunday of each month. If you are a baptized believer of Jesus Christ and want to participate in Communion, please receive the communion elements as you enter the Worship Center on those days.

To protect everyone against seasonal flu and the COVID-19 virus we support folks wearing face masks while indoors, maintaining social distancing, washing hands and using hand sanitizer often. Water fountains are shutdown, so if you would like refreshment while on-site, please find bottled water in several locations around the facility We are slowly getting back into snacks and meals as part of our fellowship.

Worship of God, the Creator of the universe and father of our Savior Jesus Christ, is what we do on Sunday mornings. Bible-based preaching is at its core with worship through prayer, song, testimony, and offering rounding out our expression of love for and devotion to God. Bible Study for Every Age, or as we call it "Sunday School," starts at 8:45 a.m., with worship at 10:00 a.m. God is good and worthy of all our worship. Please come join us!
